  1. Johnny Cash’ CD is only $11.99? Just saying.. Love you Brandi, and your dark literature, your great music and your weird devotion to The never ending story.

  2. Brandi Carlile rocks, but I’m pretty sure “Captain Fantastic” is one of the worst Elton John albums ever, and I love Elton John. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on the other hand is a near masterpiece. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

  3. @wadjela We used to have Borders in the UK, and out of nowhere they all closed down, even the website…kinda sad cos i used to go there quite often for a quick read and coffee…but i guess you’ll be happy to know about the close down!

  4. Holy shit I’m viewer number 20,000!!!

  5. hehe, book was alot better then the movie, but loved both

Stop hatin’ on Borders! Back when they had CD stations set up for playing recent and featured releases, they were responsible for me finding Norah Jones (the very first week her first album was released), Ryan Adams, Sun Kil Moon, and best of all Neko Case! 80% of my favorite music was given to me by Borders. I owe them big time.

  10. Brandi, I’m in Olympia. Stop by anytime!

  11. @compewterknut you could meet her, just go to her concert. she meets people after some of them, and is glad to do it. not typical. that’s what sets her apart.

  12. compewterknut on November 11, 2011 @ 6:19 am

I’m a good ol Tennessee boy, and I think Im going to check out the author. Brandi is absolutely beautiful, her music amazing, and I would let a tractor roll over my arm just to meet her…. :)

    @graceakaraven I know! She is really sexy! I think it’s her voice….

  15. So cool she cites Johnny Cash and Freddie Mercury – both awesome I would have to agree.

  16. yeeeheee Stevie Nicks cd in the background

  17. Hahaha, my mom just read Child of God on her own and it was so twisted, but I love Brandi Carlile though.

she’s so hot. and i’m not trying to be all .. whatever, but she’s seriously beautiful, AND SHE LOVES THE NEVERENDING STORY! her voice is AMAZING singing, and just talking. awesome woman.

  22. Brilliant singer /songwriter in Brandi, she turns anything she touches to gold.

Borders however are the biggest threat to small, local and relevant booksellers. In my small town, their arrival led to the closure of 60% of small bookshops in one year.

If people could support their small local bookstores, it’s great for writers, for publishers and the other creative people involved in publishing.

Loveya Brandi, great hearing the story of you tatoos.

  23. I KNEW I heard some kd’esque stuff in her music! Good taste Brandi!

  24. No wonder I love her so much. We have some of the same interests! Nice to see this.
